I have the BD box from Criterion: https://www.criterion.com/boxsets/1012- ... -swordsmanThe LD box wouldn't do me any good because I need English subtitles. xtempo wrote: hopefully I can start the new year like this. with all my stuff in my own apartment that's mine. Your speaker imaging must be really good. You have them properly placed about 1/3th of room length away from your front wall. Do you have your speakers toe’d out?

Thanks, nah not toed in or out, just parallel. Always want to give my speakers plenty of breathing room, that Hokkaido maple deserves it. When I first got em I was in a micro apartment. They sounded terrible up against wall on a desk, I thought they were faulty. Sounds damn good to me these days, still I guess I should experiment more and try some toe...

I don't think any of the Criterion extras have ever been released outside their releases. rein-o wrote: How is that?? I remember back in the day that people still felt that Criterion LD was the best at the time. I did pickup a bluray of Robocop for a buck at the dollar store but its just the MGM directors cut and I never even bothered to open it. The picture looks nearly identical to the MGM Remastered, but this being Arrow their encode is a lot better. They also give you the original 2.0 and 4.0 mixes in lossless DTS-HD Master Audio, something MGM never bothered with. I don't think the old MGM disc included the original theatrical cut either. The only thing missing compared to the MGM disc is the old "Flesh and Steel" doc.

Not only does it come with both the theatrical and unrated cuts, it even comes with the TV version and a slew of alternate takes for that version

I liked Super Mario Bros tho Honestly, I think Fist of the North Star had potential to at least be a decently entertaining martial arts movie. Kenshiro taking down an army of mooks when he enters Shin's palace is probably the highlight of the movie. Unfortunately the direction and photography leave much to be desired.
