OK so I just got a lot of discs and was figuring out what I have, values and all. Read the posting from Reel2Reel about this saying its noisy, does anybody else have this to confirm?? Rocketeer, The (1991) [1239 AS]All I see is just a typical soft image from the time on LD, nothing noisy or grainy.

Somethings telling me Teddanson reviewed this on here a while back although I can’t seem to find it anywhere and can’t remember if it was actually the LD version he had at the time unfortunately?

Yeah I could post a review, haven't seen it in years if I actually saw the entire film. But I got this in a lot that I was able to pickup and was seeing value of discs etc what may be worth it or just pass along the titles I didn't want. When I read about the noise it just got me to wondering. Seems also like the people who post that their LD looks on par with a VHS

Although I’d have to admit to owning a certain live concert DVD who’s image quality could easily be mistaken for a poor quality tape release but it’s saved by its LPCM audio quality.

I almost bought The Rocketeer from someone on here in the past but he or she told me not to get it. Well they told me the video quality was close to VHS and was an awful release. Also, speaking about awful releases there's a youtuber I enjoy watching that owns a laserdisc player and he has told his viewers that laserdiscs are only a little bit better than VHS. His player is a pioneer player but I forget the exact model. I found his comment odd. I think laserdisc is a lot better than vhs. From all the movies I've collected most of the film prints seem closer to dvd than vhs. I do know that my LX-900 is known to have a sharper image but I would imagine that Pioneer players should be able to produce good image quality too. Maybe he has a lower to mid range model. I do believe his player has Autoreverse aka Both Sides. Did Pioneer make any junky players that read both sides? I know they made a bunch of players so I guess the chances are they may have.
