As mentioned/referenced in this article and other places,
The Matrix was released on a limited run on LD. Many have said that the 5.1 on the LD is more dynamic than the 5.1 on the initial DVD. That 1999 DVD is the only version I care to watch as all of the others had the color changed to "match" the green tinting of the sequels. Now I've found some info saying that the 1999 DVD had some color and shots tweaked and that only the LD reflects the original theatrical presentation. Can anybody shed some light on this? I didn't think the LD was different, especially the sound being at the same DD 384 kbp/s bitrate as the '99 DVD.
