These type of polls are usually meaningless. Both films are great movies, and their status will change over time depending on who is participating in the polls.

I love both but I'd take Vertigo over Kane any day because I find it more engaging. Don't get me wrong, Kane is an excellent film but I see it as more of a drama than a deep mystery like Vertigo.

I've never liked Vertigo, and the first time I saw Citizen Kane I thought it was a boring and overrated film. However, I rewatched it this summer and it was excellent! Fabulous and fascinating depiction of a journal tycoon. Not the best movie ever made, but certainly one of the most memorable.

Citizen kane was unique in many ways back when released first. One of the first films to tell the story backwards. Starts with kane's death and goes all the way to kane' childhood. Movie goers were pretty impressed and suprised with the style. Now none of that is special because we see films inspired by it all the time, most times not knowing films we see owe a lot to citizen kane or many other great films from past.
When I first saw citizen kane I was in high school. I liked it but didnt understand why it would be the best film. After some reading and watching it again, now I understand.

Neither of those lists have Casablanca or Gone With the Wind, thus they are null and void.

Couldn't agree more. According to Wikipedia she lives in the state right next door to mine (she's in Oregon). I'd take a road trip but my wife would probably be upset :x
By the way, my cat Abbie (my avatar) would like to meet your cat

By the way medication seems to be working he's had the longest pee in weeks so I'll keep him off the biscuits keep him his, medication until next check-up but he seems to be eating a lot of wet food greedy cat.

Is she a private woman that likes to keep to herself? Not the cat, Kim Novak.

Got my eye on a Signature Collection Vertigo nice price I'll see how next week goes.

Naw, Abbie doesn't stalk cats, just birds, snakes, moles and mice...and lately deer that come into the yard and eat my wifes flowers
Glad your cat is on the mend. I've had to put too many down over the years and it's always hard. They make the BEST family members

Oops, missed the Kim Novak question. I don't know if she's "private", there are places in Oregon where you wouldn't be bothered. She's married to a veternarian....maybe a chance to bump into her if an appointment is made (Abbie wouldn't mind)...

Well best to leave the woman in peace with Mr.Veternarian I knew a friend once that kinder had eyebrows like Kim, but we we're just friends.

Age with grace not under the cosmetic surgeons knife. Yeah sure I'm conscious but if I was really worried I would have had it done 20 years ago to remain youthful. Some people tend to look great for their age into their 50's where I have seen some right battle axes 10 or 15 years less looking like a trollope. Have you seen Madonna's arms :wtf:

I have not seen Maddona's arms, and I don't know that I want to
I agree, stay away from the knife and let nature take it's course. My problem is my body knows how old I am but my mind refuses to accept it. Thus my body is always tired and feeling worn out. I need to have a talk with my brain..."settle down old fella"

Do you mean as in you had to be "18" to see the movie? That's shocking to me because tho a bit creepy I don't see half the violence of today's movies.
I still like chicken wings, I just stay away from Madonna brand wings
