Well since its a 60's film it would have been rated "X" but the rating I saw on imdb was rated 18. http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0056687/Yes BBQ Madonna wings dipped in extra hot sauce.

I also liked that she had booze available in her apartment (but why did Jimmy Stewart have to ruin his drink by adding water )?

I have to go with Madeleine, MUCh better hips (in my opinion) And Madeleine had beautiful double process bleach and tone hair color - that was when every hair color company had the delicate pastel toners for bleached hair and the toners had incredible glossy shine - but the individual dyes used to make them were removed from the market due to overblown cancer concerns since rats fed the dyes got cancer. So the beautiful bleached blondes disappeared. Regarding the movie Vertigo itself - I have the DTS LaserDisc and a rotted DVD, and although the movie is OK, I don't understand the acclaim Vertigo gets - its certainly OK, but no masterpiece. I feel the same way about Casablanca.

laserbite34 wrote: Casablanca in every way is good film and I like the soundtrack in mono with enhanced OBE that sounds like mega LFE.1 during the Paris bombing raid. I'm not saying its a bad film, I just don't understand the love of it - it's an OK film, but that's it, in my opinion, which doesn't mean much. I mean, I'm just a 43 year old disabled queer guy that is slightly OCD about formats and things he likes to collect, like LaserDisc's and players, quadraphonic recordings and decoders, etc... I have over 900 CED VideoDisc's and 5 players including 2 of the SJT-400 interactive model. And VHD 3D discs and 2 players. Plus hundreds of brochures, articles and magazines going back to 1970. BTW, if I die, all of it goes to Ratkins.

The other thing I enjoy about the "old" movies is how everyone gets what we call "Doris Day parking". He takes her back to her hotel and gets a spot right at the front door. Doesn't have to circle the block 5 times, just pulls right up. If only the real world was like that

sdraper wrote: Anybody who has the old Vertigo LD, does the mono analog sound have as many tics and drop outs as the 5th gen print sourced mono found on the Masterpiece Collection DVD? I've thought about getting this if the sound is better, but the new blu-ray might negate this because the mono is listed as being present in DTS. (Though it will likely be the same track in standard 750 kbp/s dts, or a downmix again mistakenly labeled as mono.)
One of the few films that I'm okay with usurping Kane. Not that I believe in ranking films, but if there has to be a no. 1, let it be a masterwork. I have bought other DVD that have been mislabelled as being Dolby 5.1 on DVD R2 titles like Frantic and The Towering Inferno. Someone at Warner needs to see spec-savers I bought Frantic thinking it might be brand new pressing when its just the same pressing as the first one, that really p!ssed me off that did so now I have two of the same Frantic's I'm not going to get too frantic about it I didn't buy The Towering Inferno I already had the snapper-case R2 DVD and later bought the bluray that stated it was Dolby TrueHD when it only turned out to be dtsHDMA 5.1 at least the LCR mix is the intact with mono surround but the LFE.1 waste of time. Got be careful buying today the studios are crafty buggers who only want the money.
