There are literally just a few actors in both and almost the entire setting is inside one house yet they are compulsive viewing. The one with James Mason and Christopher Reeve, wow I like that one it was I mean cool when I saw that on TV maybe late 80's. I suspect you mean Michael Caine and Christopher Reeve - if so that will be Deathtrap. There is a really superb US widescreen version of this available on LD which was pressed in 1998 and is amazing quality. Deathtrap (1982) [11256]I only just got the US version myself but have had the Japanese edition which is just Pan & Scan for some time. Hunt down the US version though.

I guess I had Mason on the mind after seeing him in the early 80's in that vampire Lot thingy creep me out for a while. Yes Michael "your only suppose to blow the bloody doors off" Caine. Its not listed on ebay so I wonder if its rare? Only two pressings of it USA and Japan http://www.lddb.com/search.php?search=D ... &format=ldStill can't believe Christopher Reeve is no longer here.

Love the scene in Deathtrap where Caine is desperately trying to prise open a wooden drawer that has been locked in order to see what Reeve has been writing - this all set to some really fast classical music. It is just filled with cunning twists and turns right to the very end. I don't think it is a particularly valuable title however it is quite rare because for a long time there was no copy listed on LDDB.com. I also have the DVD which I bought back in 1998 - the same year as the US laserdisc edition. Nice to compare the two - the laserdisc looks amazing quality. If I was you I'd snap that copy up while it is still avaliable!!

Yeah, I know it's really hard to pick just one, like that potato chip commercial, but there's a reason why I put it that way.
If Citizen Kane was beat out by Vertigo one year, then that gets beat by The Godfather another or even Gone with the Wind, it's like what was said in that other thread, the one greatest film of all time is meaningless because it will change from one poll to another and one year to another.
The best thing to be said by such lists is that some may not have seen the film mentioned, eg Wages of Fear, and now will try to see it. In fact, I almost chose Godfather 2 but realized Wages of Fear might be a film with which not everyone is familiar.
Now I am planning to get out Towering Inferno since I have not seen it in ages!
