We're lucky it wasn't the 12th day! (=> $12,000 !)

With such a crazy price, even the lowest best offer at $3,000 will still be considered too high.

I bet it won't sell, even at $3,000.

I have a reserved 6th day new unopened for $456.

I think some peoples greed is beyond words, and a number of people will never purchase from them because of these silly prices.

For me personally good service and trust go hand in hand.

People that are selling these movies at such extortionate prices. . . . .Are seriously lacking in a good conscience to some degree, as this then boarders on stealing from people, even thou they (the buyer) may want the chosen title soo much.

The other day I purchased the Japanese version of Malcolm X and would have paid up to £10 for it, however I only paid around £4,50p plus postage which came to around £10.

I would have paid a little more if the guy asked me to, but he didn't . . . . . . I hope that others here can see what I am trying to write & convey here. . . . . . . . Some sellers can clearly sleep at night, I am soo glad that I couldn't do the same.

A member on this site sent me two movies free of charge and I am so grateful to him, I did offer to pay but he insisted in giving them to me for free. . . . . Thank you.

I know that he wants the DTS X-files movie and although I have kept him waiting, because of my lack of funds, I have not forgotten this. . . . . . .I will send this to him as soon as I have purchased it.

To some sellers: some are selling and some are seriously robbing! ........END OF! PERIOD!

Thank you for reading.

Regards to all

I'm not as hard up for it I'm not that in hurry for it, I've seen a few going on eBay reasonably priced not insanely priced at 6grand.

On the other hand, 456 usd is a steal, if the MI2 is worth 550 then 6th day should be worth atleast double.

Mission Impossible 2 appeared on LDDB.com recently and sold for $425 - that included free shipping.
Another copy appeared on Ebay and sold for $515.90.

For what it is worth $500 isn't expensive for a rare laserdisc but $6000 definitely is!

So these high end discs have consistently fetched far less than some sellers would have you believe they are worth.
The seller listing Sixth Day for $6000 is also selling Mission Impossible 2 for $2500.
So I'd estimate the true value of a mint copy of Sixth Day is no more than $1000 - $1200 as of 2012.
Anyone can pay a high price for it if they wish however it is very clearly a bad investment at $6000 as you will instantly inherit negative equity.

Seems like a good opportunity for anyone else who might have been thinking about selling their copy of Sixth Day to list one at a more realistic price and it will sell.
Failing that feel free to contact me for if you want to swap for music laserdiscs or even some late release movies which I also have duplicates of now - I've been building up a steady pile over the last 6 months.
None of my high end duplicate movies are actually for sale - I am only going to swap them for titles I am still after.

I have a pretty good idea... 20 copies of Jurassic Park and Aliens!! That should be enough to cover it.

Well, it's like how Rick says on Pawn Stars: "someone can ask anything they want for an item, whether it sells for that much is a different story."

Even better, "is that what they're asking or what they're going for, because you can ask anything you want?"

Damn, I watch that show too much.

No more drugs  for the user that listed 6th day.

You tried to list it on eBay for $1million and they wouldn't allow you. I guess it wasn't worth the Risk.
