Note only the white and blue. Between the white and blue is a tint of green or cyan whatever, it shouldn't be on the transfer it would only display as white and blue in the cinema, not white blue and green or cyan coloured, it wouldn't even be seen on the print.
Also forget about framing it was shot in Super35 to look like scope which is a bit of cheat on the rest of the films that was all filmed in anamorphic expect this one, why?

First DVD pressing early 2000's R2 DVD

Special Edition DVD release this was the directors cut versions they did on 2 disc DVD several years ago. R2 DVD

Original motion picture was done at around the time just before the bluray release? R2 DVD
The blue looks almost there its as if Paramount are trying to cover it up by lower levels as I don't really buy that they made a new print from 35mm unless they have video that proves what they did for these transfers. It all looks to me nothing but mucking around on computer tint hue boasting gamma brightness lowering it using their BS colour pallet and most would believe it to be true to what would see if projected at the cinema.
Some portions are near others are not which kinder says, their tweaking this way and that way, just leave it natural I've seen some better DVD and the odd bluray but odd isn't good enough, odd has to better first time every time.
I have the bluray as well I feel like doing a capture off the NSTC Laserdisc but I rather have a look at it on the CRT to judge it fairly and...at time as there are no chapter marks with the STAR TREK ntsc original films, time 39m.02s it looks to be the same as the first edition DVD (the blue colour which ether has has white light behind it or the light is coloured to produce the lovely colour).
