A significant number of LDs have double-feature releases, and a good number of DVDs as well.
So what 2 films would you like have seen as an LD double-release, or even as a DVD double? Of course it's natural to pick a film and it's sequel, which is fine, but kinda easy. Maybe two films of a genre or style that's the same, or same actors/director, etc. (And if you actually have the two, you can make you own double-feature night, like the old days of VHS rental when you could rent one Mon-Thurs and get a second one free, remember then?)
I'd like to have seen a double-feature of The Satan Bug with Andromeda Strain, both available on LD.
Another good double-feature would have been Endagered Species with Warning Sign, neither on LD.
Or even Capricorn One with The Parallax View.

personally i never liked the 2 or more films in one set, unless they were on their own discs. i hate when they put 2 films on 2 discs since one will be a little longer than the other and you will get the end of one and the begining of the other on side 3 i think magnificent seven / return of the seven is like that. i'm really happy that last man on earth / panic in year zero is not like that and both films fill each disc, so you can start from side 1 and see the begining of the film. that's my rant on the subject. other than that i would have loved to see some double or triple features done right!

Or even Capricorn One with The Parallax View. I think I know what mean two feature films in one cover or box. Encore UK released The Fly and The Fly II I remember seeing this but never bought I ended up buying it on DVD R2 years later and the Dolby Stereo 5.1 is cool. http://www.lddb.com/laserdisc/29569/EE- ... Fly-II-The Personally I prefer to buy them as single Laserisc or DVD with single artwork for each. Guys can you post the link to these double bill ones as I can't find "Soylent Green & The Omega Man" I looked up each one under each title but see no more references to double bill sets? Endagered Species saw that on TNT cable tv years ago it was on nearly evey single night. Aliens probing cows!

Unfortunately I cannot because these are releases I woud like to have seen produced (as rixrex asked) but were not actually produced.

Dario Argento's Suspiria and InfernoSure we got Suspiria and Profondo Rosso in a box set in Japan, but Inferno is the actual sequel to Suspiria (though for whatever Profondo Rosso was released in Japan as Suspiria 2) (and let's not talk about the third film in the series that was released a just few years ago--La Terza Madre)Okay, now that the film and sequel are done, how about The Beastmaster and The Sword and the Sorcerer--probably the best of the post-Conan oiled up muscles and swords movies. One more, and hear me out on this one . . . The Ultimate Warrior and Waterworld. They're very similar when you think about it. Post apocalyptic world. Two warring factions. One man, an outsider, looked to be a sort of savior. And I think Waterworld is treated a lot more harshly than it should be.

I'm the opposite. I particularly like it when the end of one film and the beginning of the next share a side. It saves on dead space and in principle it can save an entire disc's worth of weight. Furthermore, I like using the chapter buttons on my remote for a non-trivial purpose. I don't have any particular nominations for ones I'd like to see, but this is my favourite in my own collection - so far Killer's Kiss/The Killing [ML102875]

Well there are other films released as box-sets, but its like some titles listed a kinder fantasy double bill laserdisc special. I like the idea with "The Satan Bug with Andromeda Strain" not that I have seen much less heard of the title "The Satan Bug" I've seen "The Andromeda Strain" way too many times often 5 or 7 times per day months ago when I was playing the DVD R2 night after night. Maybe double Laserdisc of Jaws and The Deep Blue Sea. or Sharks In a Lagoon.

Wow, Fly and Fly II on one PAL disc, that's cool, since in the US the original Fly and Return of the Fly were released together, albeit not widescreen. You can get Fly widescreen by itself.
If you haven't seen SATAN BUG, you've really missed a great germ warfare apocolyptic film, likely the best of it's kind and ahead of it's time as well. Now that the DVD release has been made, you may be able to get the LD at a good price. It used to be really pricey.
Here's another double-feature I'd have like to seen:
The Curtis Harrington TV movies of The Dead Don't Die and Devil Dog, Hound of Hell

Only on DVD and only a few of them. The Andromeda Strain Outbreak I'd like to have them on Laserdisc but Outbreak is Dolby AC-3 rocking Dolby mix saw it in the cinema only as Dolby SR was the screen upstairs at the time wasn't fitted with SR-D. I'd like to have seen AC-3 release of The Andromeda Strain from the 6track 70mm blow-up release as all the versions on LD VHS and DVD are mono mixes. Quote: Technical Specs The Andromeda Strain Runtime: 131 min | Belgium: 115 min (video version) Sound Mix: 70 mm 6-Track (70 mm prints) (Westrex Recording System) | Mono (35 mm prints) Color: Color (Technicolor) Aspect Ratio: 2.20 : 1 See full technical specs »
