i own this one Red Sun (1971) [PILF-2147] it's full frame but i believe it's an open matte.

there is only one LD on recobancho right now, the other is a book.

this DVD came out about 8 months after i bought the LD, it says it's 2 minutes shorter than the LD.
http://www.amazon.com/Red-Sun-Charles-Bronson/dp/6304610157/ref=sr_1_4?s=movies-tv&ie=UTF8&qid=1351798214&sr=1-4&keywords=red+sun

other than that i can't tell you anything else about the DVDs.

the LD is a good picture from what i remember, but it's been over 10 years since i watched it

after reading the amazon reviews, it sounds like one of those movies that is in public domain so others can release it when they want to with different versions.

another reason i stick with LDs, i know that it's an official version  not a public domain discount collection release.
