Post subject:	Quality on the mono soundtrack for Godfather I and II
Here's another techy question that's been bugging me for some time. The Coppola restoration was really the first time I was able to hear mono on these films since first seeing them on the old VHS rentals. (2-3 tapes each! Remember those days?) I hated the spread on the forced 5.1 of the first DVD boxset, not to mention the pitiful image. I just got the BD set today to upgrade my DVD but of course the mono is secondary and not lossless. In other words, how do these sound on the digital tracks? Godfather, The (1972) [LV 8049-2] Godfather, The: Part II (1974) [LV 8459-2]

Godfather, The (1972) [LV 8049] this version is older, both should have the regular mono but i don't own these. i wanted to start a godfather topic, there are so many releases. i remember a Japanese box that had both 1 + 2 edited together but don't see that listed. only the 1,2,3 edited together.
