1-I like to collect all sequels, prequels and any related films, TV shows of my favorite films even if I don't like them. For example Terminator 1, 2, 3, Salvation, Sarah Connor Chronicles S1, S2 2-I like to collect all releases from certain collections and studios unless they are in vast numbers. For example I bought every single Criterion Collection Blu-ray release to date. 3-I like to collect all movies made by and/or acted in certain directors and actors. For example Wong Kar Wai(imported blu-rays from HK and UK) Tarkovski Blu-rays(imported Andrei Rublev from Russia) own several LDs. 4-I like to collect different editions, versions and formats of my favorite films. For example Terminator 2 on BD(all 2 releases and Endoskull edition), HD-DVD(French, German imports), extreme and ultimate edition DVDs, D-theater, Squeeze LD, Hi-Vision LD(coming soon) 5- I love Limited, Collector's, Ultimate editions that comes with goodies and oversize box.
I have come to a point where I have most of what I really want. New movies rarely excite me so I think my collection will grow on a much slower pace.
I like to buy films brand new and/or complete(obi, sleeve, insert etc..) but its not a priority for me. I also like mint condition but I don't mind minor imperfections or wear.
Other than buying and watching movies I don't really have any other addiction. I don't really collect anything else. Electronics and technology was my hobby for a long time but new stuff doesn't excite me anymore. I think I live my life normal for the rest of the part.

Electronics and technology was my hobby for a long time but new stuff doesn't excite me anymore. I think I live my life normal for the rest of the part. In movies I almost only collect lds. I buy a lot of asian movies on dvd but its not in a collector point, its mostly so they get their fair share of money instead of downloading it. I have a rule to not buy the old movies on BD if it was on ld, but I think I will have to buy the new BD release of mad max trilogy in a gas tin box =) I also recently got the deleted arrow box set on Battle Royale, Which is one of the movies I collect in posters, booklets and so on. I have many deep directions on LDs, for example I collect cartoons, sexploitation, horror, scfi, DTS titles, Squeeze and so on. In music titles I collect the titles I want to watch, so its mainly concerts with bands I like. The only reason to but a Japanese release without a obi would be if you already had a obi with a bad cover/record/ld. Its a part of the release, just like a bonus poster is a part of the release. Even the collectors in Japan think this way.

I'm something of a completest. I'm a huge Monkees fan, and I have all their US discs. I have all the "Elm Street" series as well. I'm a HUGE Joan Crawford fan(atic), but I'm missing three titles: "Grand Hotel" (one of my least favorite of hers), "Dancing Lady" and "Trog"- I hope to have all three by the end of the year.

I'm a classic film junkie. If I like a particular actress/actor, sometimes director I will pull out my notebook (yes I have a giant binder for film related notes/lists/etc) and I will make a list of each film they are in. Then at work (overnight) I will go by and research if the film is available, on what format, what country etc. Then I will go on a hunt

Trying to get all the Disney animated films on either WS CAV LD or the respective LD box sets. Trying to get some of the Japanese Box Sets as well (like the Aladdin Box Set.) Also trying to get all my favorite horror directors' laserdiscs (both Japanese and US releases) like George A. Romero, Lucio Fulci, Dario Argento.

Some Disney LD's also have different content than DVDs and BDs. Disney restored a good number of its catalog around 2002-2004 they re-edited most of them although nothing major. Audio is also re-remixed on DVD releases. I have a couple of box sets. I am also interested in collecting the box set releases. Also first few features and a few from the disney renascence era(early 90s) films. I own Nightmare Before Christmas and Lion King Box sets. What other box sets are out there? I know Toy Story, Pocahontas also.

I had great interest in MoC blu-rays in early days then I noticed Criterion licensed and released most of those in the state side. There are few MoC exclusives but those get ported to CC later date generally. I still would like to have a complete MoC collection as some of their releases are superior to CC but I started collecting all CC BDs from day one(now at over 230 titles) I cant find budget for another major collection.

I'm currently working on uploading all my collections. Currently Evangelion is almost finished (and then I'll tackle the rest. Please note not everything is listed or finished yet- it might take me a year to completely do this.
X310.info/Xtra great collection. I see multiple versions of most titles. I gather you know what you want rather than little bit of everything. I started collecting little bit of everything then it turned to crazy amount of everything. I am running out space. I am trying to reduce my collection by %70 or so. I narrowed my taste to certain genres and films now

I am trying to get rid of a lot of mainstream LDs I have to open up space for music LDs. I have decent number of classical music on LD but not much on popular music. I want to work on that.

I have multiples depends on the title and bonus features and stuff like Dark Crystal (besides the book) I have every DVD release and both LaserDiscs (they both have different covers), the single BD and the Japanese movie program (Labyrinth is almost the same way but there was only one LD for that I have). As I said I haven't finished yet but I need to figure out how much I'm doing. I also need to figure out how I can change some of the style sheet so I have the same background as the rest of the site.

I just buy movies I really like. I'm a cinephile at heart and will watch a movie on pretty much anything, though Blu-ray and LD will probably always be my two favorite formats. Lately I've been kind of on a Hong Kong LD kick, though. I'm a big fan of 80's and 90's Cantonese cinema so having these films on a format that was popular at the time in HK is pretty damn cool imo. A lot of these are poorly documented, too, so it feels good to update the database with missing information for them. Also love Japanese imports, Criterion Collection (particularly post-war Japanese cinema and classic American films), horror, etc. Will watch pretty much anything just about once!

My OCD tells me to make a complete collection of this and that. I did realize that I couldn't keep up with collecting everything. Used to prioritize music and favorite bands. Now I focusing on collecting Blu-ray's. Laserdiscs, generally music discs. DVD's - only if they aren't, or will not be, available in higher definition. Of course, OBI strips and slip covers has become a must!

Oh yeah, another director whose movies I'm trying to get are Fred Olen Ray's on LD ( Dinosaur Island, Evil Toons, Inner Sanctum, etc.) And for some reason, they're going for a lot more money these days. I thought I was the only person who wanted to see his schlock! If only Bio Hazard was released on LD.

OCD, Completest, Collector...What's you addiction? Queen and anything Queen. Cassettes, CDs, LDs, DVDs, Blu rays. Must have 1000s of items. Many rarities. Most prized possession, "The Highlander Collection". Only 50 copies made of this CDV (although I doubt there are this many copies left around now). Last time on E Bay this item went for more than $1000. Also into "Highlander" the movie. Great sounding 10th Anniversary edition on LD.
