Hi all. I'm aware of two US laserdisc pressings of "The Alamo" that contain the extended director's cut:

Alamo, The (1960) (Uncut) [ML102581]
Alamo, The (1960) (Uncut) [ML106354]

One is analog/digital surround, the other is AC3. My question is, is the audio the only difference? Any difference in the video transfer, extras, etc? Even the artwork looks almost exactly the same.

has extras that listed on the page which might not be on the other release but if you like extras then be sure to get Alamo, The (1960) (Uncut) [ML102581]

they did the same with King of Kings.
first issue was only the film, second issue looks the same but has something extra, i can't remember now.

Thanks for the responses guys. I picked up a copy at ebay auction this morning for $13 + shipping. To be honest, I'm still not positive which release I got, but I think that's a fair price either way. The isbn the seller provided seems to match [ML102581].

It's a difficult title to shop for; the ac3 version seems to fetch more, but I think sellers often don't know the difference. I saw at least one listing that specified [ML106354], but their photos of the back clearly showed the CX logo...?

Anyway, I'll be glad to have the uncut version.
