I have a fair number of documentaries on laser - some are my faves are: The Civil War box set - pretty awesome if you have any interest in history Soundies - really interesting show about a really obscure part of entertainment history Mein Kampf - well done show on A. Hitler The Guns of August - interesting show with great archival footage about the origins of WWI The Theremin: An Electronic Odyssey - the story of a truly weird musical instrument and its inventor - on American Horror Story: Coven, Myrtle Snow played one of these in a few episodes What are some of your favorites? |

I wouldn't mind rebuying the Dream is Alive IMAX and getting more discs that I would have seen in my Anthropology courses or from other classes except for math I need to add The Japanese to the database one of these days. I would love to have an American Indian collection boxset but its cheaper on DVD (can't remember the title) |

that sounds about right. Even without the shipping it seems almost to expensive though I have looked recently so maybe there could have been a listing rather cheaply. |

Documentaries are some of my favorites. For feature-length movies, I go for: Hearts of Darkness Hollywood on Trial MGM: When the Lion Roars (my favorite) The Beatles Anthology (second favorite) The Compleat Beatles Visions of Light The Celluloid Closet That's Entertainment!: The Ultimate Musical Treasury ...in addition to the great making-of documentaries that accompany the Special Editions of Jaws, Close Encounters, The Ultimate Oz, Natural Bork Killers, JFK, The Godfather Trilogy, The Doors, and Psycho (1960). |

Glad you mentioned the civil war box set i spent some time in Fredericksburg and Richmond Virginia a few years back looking at some of the old battlefields I'll have to buy the box set regards |

The Occult Experience is an interesting one, showing various parts of the occult scene in the 1980s and featuring an interview with HR Giger. If not for that, I still wouldn't be pronouncing Giger's name correctly! |

I have had 8 of the Imax laserdiscs. All of them pretty interesting, especially the Everest one from 1999 release. Just remember to watch for laser rot which alot of them have. It took me 4 copies to get a good Antarctica without rot. |

picked up this one about 3 weeks ago Salvador Dali: A Soft Self-Portrait (1971) [ID5337PA] really cool if you like dali. and it has footage of him doing some crazy stuff. just got this one in the mail a few days ago Norman Rockwell's World (1972) [NOR01LD] now i have to watch it when i have some time. seems very cool again as it has footage of rockwell. ________________________________ the rein-o official signature:

Do you still have the BBC laserdisc of Delia Smith's Home Baking? If so, do you what kind of music is being played during the opening and closing BBC Video logo? If you search BBC Video ident compilation on YouTube, you get the link to the first 4 types of music used from 1981-1984. Explain which one it was? |
