I do have Heroes of the East, FEM, 5 Deadly Venoms and 36th Chamber on DVD from Celestial Pictures/Dynasty Films. Mostly because I couldn't get them on LD (and the first DVD I got of The Master Killer looked HORRIBLE!!!) They do look amazingly clean now. Far, far removed from the damaged looking, cropped presentations I remember from watching on "Black Belt Theatre" on TV when I was a kid! Haha, yeah I love some of the name changes of those old tapes. My favorite would have to be "Hoes, Thugs and Scrillah" Another title to add to the LD thread: Tower of London (1937 with Rathbone/Karloff/Price) I recall seeing it in a dvd box set for region 1. It's a great film, more of a period piece than horror. Definitely a favorite of mine and it would have fit nicely with the "Encore" LDs. Plus, I may be remembering this wrong, but I'm sure I've read reviews about LDs using vastly superior source materials for that era of films, resulting in a much nicer product than dvd or even blu-ray. |

randomtvandmovie wrote: More TV shows. Although there were a few television shows released on laserdisc, almost all of the were from CBS or Worldvision. In fact, that being said, most television shows released by those companies were either comedy or sci-fi horror shows like Twilight Zone or Twin Peaks. Paramount released alot of TV shows on LD, including "Police Squad." STAY AWESOME! |

Oh, and the 60's "Fantomas" trilogy with english subtitles. This is a must for me, as my avatar is a flying Citreon DS from one of the Fantomas films. I have the entire trilogy on VHDs. They're in French with Japanese subtitles. They were released in Japan on LD the same way. STAY AWESOME! |

Baywatch (especially post Season 3) and Silver Spoons TV Series (especially post Season 1) since these may never get released in ANY format, and the Baywatch got changed so much from the original TV version(music, for example) |

Not exactly during the format's lifespan... but if LD had survived into 2002, Fellowship of the Ring would have been a fun collectible. |

Ridley Scott's Gladiator should have been released on LD as it was in theaters in 2000, and Japan's LD market was still alive, but barely in 2001!!! |

As it's being re-shown at the minute I kind of got to wondering about why Father Ted never got a laserdisc release. I'm not sure how much Father Ted travelled but for those who don't know it's an Irish sitcom that ran from 1995 - 1998, prime laserdisc years but not a single release. Then again I'm not sure how much, if any, Channel 4 material made it to laserdisc. |

Mighty Orbots. I thought of this because I saw on eBay a disc of "Adventures of the Galaxy Rangers" and was surprised. |

After checking all the other releases I was pretty convinced that every single one was dubbed into either english, french, german etc But if this boxset has the desired soundtrack it is a must have for me. Then I can also compare the second film with the other, assumebly cut version of The Road Warrior |
