In USA dollars, in my budget paying a bit over a $100.00 is as far I would go. I see titles for $400 to $600 & up listed & I have to say no way. I have some rare titles such as Freebird the Movie & AC/DC no bull along with Thank God its Friday that were in the $100.00 or so price range so I bought them. There are times when you have to know when to say when regardless of the rarity unless your a millionaire.

Good morning Guys, I fully realize that this topic can be a delicate one, but take note that the following has come with a level od sacrifice in order to attain, Laserdisc titles that I am currently paying for will be completed by around the end of October 2015. The most that I have been willing to pay for a Laserdisc title is $500 = around £350 UK Sterling. Currently approaching half way for my 28 approx. title order, of which will trigger a delivery to myself from the seller. 1) MI-11 $256 = £180 APPROX POUND STERLING. 2) THE SIXTH DAY $456 = £300 APPROX POUND STERLING. 3) THE BEACH $199 = £140 APPROX POUND STERLING. 4) WORLD IS NOT ENOUGH $399 = £280 APPROX POUND STERLING. And 24 other titles.............This represents the very last ''LARGE EXPENSE'' outlay for laserdiscs as I these are the last late release titles that wish to have in my collection. Any other titles that I may purchase after this from Japan especially, I would only be willing to pay up to $150 = £100 approx. Pound sterling for. To be honest I am at the limit with purchasing the above order, but after more than 7 years, payments are to be endured and completed, and so this will be a tough year indeed. Yes I know it all seams crazy, but I will enjoy these titles and will not be selling them on, unless life throws a blow at me, but I have a backup plan for this, so these should remain in my good hands. Take good care everyone Kind Regards

Any laserdisc now over £25.00 is (ble ep) daylight robbery.

Depends on the movie, but I'm not going to pay more than $40 or so unless it's like a big set of movies or a box set. It's why I don't own Song of the South yet.

I guess my limit changes by my current possibilities to spend, reality bites, but I don't mind using several hundreds for something I really want and have been hunting for a long time because sometimes you can't count on seeing another copy popping up for years - if ever. Luckily I don't have obsession for last-of-the-timeline releases and my personal wantlist is based on titles I want to have and watch, not the rarity factor, so the cases when I have to throw all the sensibility outta the window instead of just following the markets eat rather narrow slice of the whole cake: Out of all the discs I have so far I've managed to snatch approx 90% for very reasonable price simply with some patience and looking further than just on eBay search. elahrairrah wrote: I bid $100 on one of the Japanese releases of Sanguelia (Lucio Fulci's Zombi 2) on Yahoo Japan some time ago. One of the few times I ever splurged for a title like that.
I was still outbid and no way was I going to put any more money towards that. I'm not surprised, generally both Sanguelia releases need at least double of that unless you really have lady luck on your side. Double disc edition has reached over $300 multiple times even in various stages of so-so condition or as incomplete set. It is possible to score one cheaper straight from japan but there is always plenty of bidders all over them, and for some reason many copies seem to have water damage and damp marks in outer sleeve.
