How many have received a cracked laserdisc on one side but the shipping carton had NO NO signs of damage? I think this seller on ebay who is not a regular laserdisc seller shipped it out to me knowing it had a crack in it. I didn't email the seller first in this case I just went for a item not as described. It the shipping carton arrived perfect I believe it was put in the box that way & then sent off to me.

Would need to see the style of packaging to get a better idea. LP mailers on their own are pretty hopeless at protecting laserdiscs as they are too slim and offer almost no compression protection or drop protection. The mailer may look fine still from the outside even though the disc is cracked.

Either way you are quite within your rights to ship it back and get a full refund.
If it was a domestic US purchase shipping back is cheap so not really an issue.
For international orders the return shipping + mandatory tracking service can easily end up costing more than the price of the disc. I've a pile of crackers.......almost all shipped to me from US sellers.

I received a shipment of 69 laserdiscs from an ebay seller and when i opened it everything looked ok. the first disc on the end was Return of the Jedi. I pulled first one out to watch. When it came time for side 3 on the second disc,it had a long crack on it. I started inspecting all of them, but that was the only one like that.I have replaced it .
i figured since that one was on the end ,it may have gotten cracked from handling during shipping. :(

The mailer was strong. I still believe that it was cracked before shipping & it only had to travel to the next state.

You could be right if it was decent mailer.
Who was the seller, was it sealed and what was the title?
