This feels like a film that is older than it actually is, and for some reason it feels like it belongs on Laserdisc. Even still being made in 2000 qualifies it for being pressed within the pointy end of the Laserdisc era. Was it ever planned to be released but then canceled?

I am assuming that you are talking about the live action version. I have the animated version which is on the same LD as Horton Hears a Who. I also have the live action version on DVD.

My LD copy was broken in shipment to me so it is useless. The seller shipped the LD with a piece of cardboard and all of it in a padded shipper. The LD is cracked in 4 places on one side and in 2 places on the other side. The package looked like someone sat on it.

The paper envelope that the LD came in is in fair shape. If anyone wants it, just yell.

The film didn't hit video until November 2001. The last Universal title on LaserDisc anywhere was U-571 in February 2001.
