Daughter and I were watching The Last Starfighter tonight. During the first 10 or so 'explosions' (ie, stuff blew up real good), the picture would either desync, scramble, or cause my television to lose the signal all together. At first I thought well maybe laser rot, but it seemed way too coincidental that it happened minutes apart during only the explosions. Ever seen something like that before? Later on in the movie, it no longer caused an issue, but the explosions weren't as 'big' or 'close' anymore if that means anything at all. |

What version? I will check mine out and see if something similar happens. |

What player are you using? It sounds as though the sudden change in video brightness levels is destabilizing a cheap mean-level AGC circuit, causing the TV to lose sync. This can either be in your player or in your TV. |

Sounds similar to the problem I have when viewing "White Mane"... http://forum.lddb.com/viewtopic.php?f=30&t=446 |

It's the original P&S version. It's being played on a Pioneer CLD-D704. |

Just looked at Nems' post - that looks about right for a few of the 'explosions'. Similar issue and we're using the same player too. Probably an inherent issue to the player itself. |
