| Post subject: | non Japan LD releases |
I have always wondered why a movie like The Matrix has never been released on LD in Japan (or does it exist, but not listed in LDDB?) Know of more examples like End Of Days and Sleepy Hollow, but these were maybe not interesting enough for the japaneese market as they were released near the end of the LD life |

who knows what reasoning they used when releasing american movies, i mean, they released "an extremely goofy movie" for christs sake.. |

So the best selling piece of software for the console was the DVD of The Matrix! Perhaps WB Japan wanted a DVD only release for that? I know some companies in Japan were actively trying to kill off LD since the installed base there was so much higher than in the US. |
