(That's right, trilogy, I am not going to acknowledge Crystal Skull.) What a great series, good script, lots of action, and tons of fun. For the 3 people out there in the world who have never seen these movies, go check them out. The packaging a beautiful gatefold for these movies. Good PQ as well. Highly recommended. The gatefold for Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade (1989) [PILF-1061] is actually really cool too. It has a world map which pinpoints all of the major locations from all three movies and when he was there. It is in Japanese, so I can't read it, but I still love looking at it. I would love to see that. Unfortunately, lddb doesn't even have the cover art. I have submitted it, so I'm sure it will be up soon. I will snap a picture of the inside of the gatefold for you tomorrow and post it in here.

that gatefold map would be really cool to see. just watched Diamonds Are Forever (1971) [ML101741] on my 80 inch projector screen. great film, very corney but still fun. a little slow half way through but very watchable.

As far as the LD goes, its rather dark in (many) spots and grainy everywhere. Sound is decent. The real problem is the casting and bizarre new elements to the story in order to spice it up. I vastly prefer Adventures of Robin Hood, The: Special 50th Anniversary Edition #66 (1938) [CC1166L]. Its a better movie and a better LD. As far as the 91 Robin Hood goes, it's not terrible as long as you're in the right mood. I absolutely would not watch it alone as I would pick it apart, but when I'm with my family and my mom wants to watch it, it's fairly entertaining for a once-in-a-while screening.

It's a light-hearted adventure. Lots of things to critique, but overall enjoyable on a superficial level. I also like Brian Adams's theme song.

Here is the map inside the jacket of Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade (1989) [PILF-1061]: I'll try and take a higher resolution picture some time when my girlfriend has her good camera here.

Thanks for the map image, really nice, shame we didn't get it anywhere else. I've got Indiana Jones Trilogy [PLFES 33821] which also has a gatefold edition of Last Crusade but the gatefold only shows information about "the Making of Raiders of the Lost Ark" which is on side 4 of Last Crusade.

I really like the cover art for that version, very nice (and expensive)!

It's a gorgeous set but is often overlooked because Temple of Doom has been censored, but since I can't stand that film anyway it doesn't bother me. EDIT:I find the price for it varies depending on who is selling it. Some people ask a ridiculous amount for it whereas I've sometimes seen it go for as little as £5. I can't remember how much I got mine for but I think it was somewhere between £15 and £20. Just keep an eye out for it and you'll find one for a good price. Yesterday, possibly influenced by the posts here, I watched Raiders of the Lost Ark from this set. It was the first time I'd watched it since I got the DVL-919E and it looked great, which was a nice surprise as when I originally watched it on my CLD-V2120D it looked very murky and grainy.

Watched North by Northwest #45A (1959) [CC1226L] and once again fell in love with the film. And the mono track is wonderful. This is the only edition to feature the whole thing (The MGM disc has the titles in stereo), but for some reason, my copy had two instances of what I can only describe as garble on the digital track. Framing and color are different too, Framed at 1.75 which gives a bit vertically but loses a little on the sides. The coloring is spot on for what this film should look like and despite some print wear gives a very pleasing image for a 22 year old disc.
