Tonight's feature film was one of my wife's favorites Oklahoma! (1955) [4269-85]Good movie but I was a little disappointed in the quality of this THX-certified disc. The colors kept shifting around and the soundtrack seemed a little muffled.

If you liked the 1982 film then go buy this BD!!! I dont want to give anything away but the film is so good that if you remove the ending credits from the prequel and the opening credits from the 1982 film it would be one contiguous film! Be sure to check out the supplemental material; just trust me on this! That is the first time I've heard anyone say anything positive about this film. Everyone I know was VERY skeptical but now this is a must have film. GREAT pains were taken to make it match the '82 Carpenter film. Again I dont want to give anything away to anyone who has not seen it yet but now I can't watch the '82 Thing without watching this first; like I said it is now just one long film... My friend's complaint- "they tried to make it too much like the original" (I wish I had the emoticon of the smiley face blowing his brains out)

Great film tonight and dynamite LD in terms of image clarity. Midnight in the Garden of Good and Evil (1997) [14776]"This place is fantastic. It's like Gone With the Wind on Mescalin. I know you're my agent. Listen to me, they walk imaginary pets here, Garland. On a f***ing leash. Alright? And they're all heavily armed and drunk. New York is boring! "

Just watched Babylon 5 #5.12: Objects at Rest/Sleeping in Light (1998) [16969]. I bought this recently in mint condition as I was a big fan of the series (and these last two episodes were my favorite in the entire series). If you haven't seen it and like sci-fi, space opera stuff like Battlestar Galactica your going to love this 5 season series. It had good acting and the scope of the story was truly "galactic" in size. I highly recommend picking up the entire series on DVD and spending a few months going through all the episodes, you won't be disappointed.

It's bean years since I last saw the film so I can't remember exactly but don't Doc and Marty end up hiding the passed out Jennifer in the trash when they arrive in the future? I was on a train at the time so I just grabbed the first screenshot that came up on Google image that didn't redirect to another image.

I settled down to watch Alien (1979) [8760-85] last night. Such a great film, and a nice transfer for this edition as well. I am looking forward to Ridley Scott's next sci-fi film, Prometheus.

Last night we watched Rush Hour (1998) [ID5477LI]. This was one of my mini-grails that I finally was able to pick up. Really good image quality and excellent DTS track. Nothing over the top, but some very satisfying explosions. 2nd movie was Party Girl (1958) [ML102548]Enjoyable Nicolas Ray film with a very respectable transfer. Cyd Charisse has some great dance numbers in this one especially the one where she is wearing the leopard suit. One of my favorite LD covers of all time.
