"Stop or my mom will shoot." I can't believe Stallone signed on for this one. He must have wanted to go in a new direction (comedy), or he needed a pay check bad.

Patlabor 2 (JP), & I can honestly say that I'm not a fan of Mamoru Oshii. Flat, pale colour palette, long scenes of nothing but dialogue, weird distorted images, obsessive Bible-quoting, looking up dogs' noses…

Star Trek: The Animated Adventures of Gene Roddenberry's (1973) [LV60754] and I have to say, having never seen this show before, it is surprisingly well written for a cartoon spinoff.

I THINK I agree with you, but every time I tried to watch that movie, I kept falling asleep. Loved the TV series, though.

The driving-in-the-car sequence came close to giving me a nasty headache, owing to the low-frequency flicker. Not quite Pokemon epilepsy, but gaaaaaaah… I've got the TV/OVA collection LDs, which I'm sure will be a lot more fun to watch.

The comedy direction had worked for Arnie so I guess Sly thought he could get a bit of the action as well. How wrong he was though!

it was okay sound wise.. I think its based off a comic book and its somewhat punkish but it does have Ice T in it which is odd he seems to play the same character in every film at least it seems like to me. I haven't seen the dvd so I don't know about the framing.

i know I should have gotten it on DVD instead for at least it would be easier to get rid of. its an okay movie just more than once seems a bit much unless someone is like hard core or something. She can come off as really annoying in situations and it does seem like there are better comic book movies though.

I love the cover to that movie, lol.

Didn't want to watch it,... felt I owed it to myself.

Lensman: The Movie Watched it last night. Crazy to see how many similarities it shares with Titan A.E. I have to say, I wasn't crazy about Lensman, but it did have some really cool computer effects for a film from that time period.

I'm starting to watch The Time Tunnel (Time Tunnel, The: Vol.1 (1966) [PILF-1986] & Time Tunnel, The: Vol.2 (1966) [PILF-1987])

Excellent SciFi TV series from the sixties. I have these two Japanese box sets (mint condition) - I think they are rare, are they?

Last night was Happy Gilmore (1996) [ID4423MC] that I just received via a trade on this forum and Strictly Ballroom (1992) [1701 AS] as a peace offering to my wife.

I used to love that show along with Voyage to the Bottom of the Sea. Yeah, the discs are rare.

Not on laserdisc but I'm just back from seeing The Artist at the cinema; it's a HIGHLY recommended film, simply amazing. I think I've found my film of the year already! It'll certainly take a lot to beat.

Night Life (1989) [90196]

Pretty unknown little horror gem which started very slowly but got the ball rolling quite nicely towards the end, bullies who won't stop chasing their victim even when they're dead is great idea and mish mash of horror and comedy is well balanced. Style-wise this one reminded me a lot of Night of the Creeps which is always positive thing.
