You need to track down the CED copy. One of only 6 or so Letterboxed titles to be released on the format.

I'm one of those multi-grails-guys too, but one of them would be this one The japanese press of the 100 min. print that long was unavailable om DVD. Much more vilolence in this version! I think it was recently put out on MOD-DVD, though. The disc is from 1986 but has great a great widescreen-picture. Best thing about this one is that my wife picked it up for me at a second-hand dealer for like 1$ and gave it to me as a cristmas-present. She doesn't know too much about laserdisc, but she knows I like laserdiscs and she knows I like Franco Nero.

Actually the whole Kosugi ninja trilogy was, and still partially is, best served as japanese LD's: Jap press of Revenge of the Ninja was best available uncut version for a long time before US MGM coaster finally got out, before that the place for second best release out there was shared by greek VHS or copy of old swedish TV screening, and as far as I know there still ain't legit digital release of uncut Ninja III: Domination - such a thing would be most appreciated as unfortunately LD is one of those known rotters. Enter The Ninja has indeed been announced in MOD release line but I don't know if it's actually out yet. Too bad they never released Pray For Death on laserdisc...

Just got Tron (black edition, unfortunately not the archive edition but I actually like the cover art on this one even more)! It's certainly not a super expensive LD but I love this movie and thus my "holy grail". How many Holy Grails are found for $14 (which included shipping)?

I recently managed to get hold of that for a very reasonable price and now my holy grail is X-Men...which always seems to be quite a bit out of my price range. If I ever got hold of that then I get into the murky waters of Squeeze and Muse...then it's all downhill for my bank account.

I guess it never stops, does it? One of the things that I like is waiting for a great price on something that I have wanted for a long time. It's not about being able to afford it or not, but rather spending the time for hunting it down and so forth. I think the anticipation is half the joy!

Exactly, if I could afford to go out and buy a pristine, top of the rage, Pioneer MUSE LD player and all the discs to go with it then it would ne no fun. There's that great sense of satisfaction when you finally get your paws on that item you've been hunting for, possibly for years. This is slightly off topic but I once spent around ten years trying to track down the original theatrical version of the Hong Kong, wire-fu epic A Man Called Hero as I'm a massive fan of the comics (Called Chinese Hero in China, Blood Sword else where). After the theatrical release all releases of it were cut down to exclude all the scenes of American's being racist in early 20th Century America, even the Chinese editions cut this. To date the only unedited release I've ever managed to find is a low quality Malaysian VCD. The feeling of finally sitting down to watch that after hunting for so long was brilliant, a satisfying hunt.

Katie I been kicking around the idea of getting those as well. I just picked up Volume 4 thankfully for not too much. Just that I'm sure I won't get the others for as little!
