On a business trip I noticed that the local cinema was showing T2 in 3D and went to see it to pass the time in the evening. The film's as good as ever, and I was glad to have seen it projected for the first time since '92. Linda Hamilton still carries the film effortlessly.

But the 3D retrofit was just awful.

Anyone else seen it?

I'm in Tokyo for a week and they're playing it there in small rooms with a few shows/week:

Might give it a try on an evening show even though my nearsightedness + lasik surgery left me struggling to see any 3D at all (my brain converges too slowly to catch quick effects).

I'm more interested in the 4K UHD Blu-Ray that was just postponed from October 3rd to October 31st.

Finally a reasonable upgrade to my Hi-Vision and HDDVD releases!

I watched it 23th August 2017 in the Netherlands. Around 40 people in the cinema for the screening, mostly older guys :-) I liked the presentation, though the 3D wasn´t really necessary. I thought it would be cool to see more older movies again on the big screen. I would have gone anyways, even it wasn´t 3D. I wish they had shown the DC of Cameron, but again, it was fun seeing the movie in the theatre again.
