Well that was an interesting few days.

Had some extra time while doing stuff inside so I decided to watch all 3 versions of Highlander II.
First streamed the directors cut or renegade version, odd that it had that blue color which was sort of bothersome in the sky.
Then watched the French DVD of the USA release.
And today finished the LD of the British version.

I have to say that the first two are really the version of the film to watch and enjoy, if you don't think about this being in the Highlander universe.
Really think the renegade or directors cut is not helpful to add this back into the series and just slaps stuff together to try and make it fit after the fact.

I want to know what they were smoking when they claim there can only be one meaning one highlander so did money talk loud enough for them to come up with this weird a** sequal?

I think that's the later "Special Edition" which corrected the sky to match the blue shield seen in the orbital shots. The renegade version still had the red skies IIRC.

Either way, Highlander 2 needs the Blade Runner treatment ASAP :mrgreen:

Oh OK, if that's what I saw it was really bad, sort of worse than the alien story.
The movie is bad to begin with but its best as the original releases of UK or US.

I don't think they have enough footage to do a Blade Runner treatment for this, or too much.
Also when Katana is saying all these real life things like wanting to drive the train or ready for the football pick it just doesn't make any sense and would never
so you would have to cut a lot of Ironside's lines to have it make some sense, even cutting the beginning on Zeist, no way you can make that work
in any version but then how do you explain Katana and then the whole movie is gone.

Really just need to leave it as a poor idea that went really wrong and enjoy it for what it is.

On a side note I love how they put that Wendy's ad into the film.

I skipped around this posting so forgive me if i missed the answer however ive been looking for a cooy, file whatever of the highlander 2 laser disk (hong kong) is there a version somewhere? I was told theres a number of fanprojects however ive failed to locate them.
