Finished watching Venture Bros again, still a very good show with unfortunately long wait times between seasons (3-4 years).

I've been on a Bruce Campbell kick recently, and I think I'm going to start watching Brisco County, Jr.

I watched Angel last night. Wasn't expecting much from it and ended up pleasantly surprised. Good film.

Pulled out a couple of comedy classics from my small collection last night.

Dirty Work (1998) [ML107048]
Was watching Norm lately so decided to rewatch Dirty Work. It's always good and I always enjoy the SNL gang showing up in cameos as well as Rickles. I love Don Rickles, damn he cracks me up, used to love it when he'd go on Letterman. He was the only guest that had power over Dave I reckon. Like most guests looked up to Dave but I feel Dave looked up to Rickles. I also like how Norm just plays himself in everything. So lazy, which makes him better. Not trying at all.

Wild Life, The (1984) [40145]

This is a great and important underrated '80s flick. I'd never seen it until I got the LD probably 8 years ago in a hifi store for $1.

Love this film. Tons of great players including Lea Thompson. Excellent scene of her boyfriend sliding off her panties 8-) Excellent T&A throughout. Early use of the term "hose beast" by Penn's character (previously I'd only heard it used in Wayne's World) and insight into the American renting experience as chronicled by Substance!

Never heard of The Wild Life, but I love a good 80s flick as much as the next person. Just added to the wish list :)

I watched The Killing Fields this week. Oh my God. This film is so good. The actor who played the Cambodian journalist actually survived this crazy period in Cambodian history himself.
This was such an impressive film. It made you feel like you were actually there. How could anyone come up with a plan ? How can one kill one quarter of the entire population in a period of less
than four years ? How crazy is that ? They would kill anyone who would speak French or wear glasses. There is a scene where the leader in one of the camps asks the protagonist in French whether he would like
to have a cigarette and he pretends he doesn't understand. Knowing that he understands French would have been his death sentence.
The four years of Khmer Rouge rule in Cambodia are such a fascinating topic that we actually know so little of. The country did not have a real government, only a bunch of communists called the Angka that would
rule the country. There were hardly and foreigners who visited the country in those four years. I think I should read the book because I am certain the film omits of a lot of intersting stuff that can be found in the book
itself.

You're telling me that you didn't like Palps coming back? What's wrong with invalidating both Lukes's "Heroes Journey" and Vader's Redemption?

I didn't think the Last Jedi was the worst thing ever, but Rise of Skywalker is easily the worst of the whole saga, I'd sooner watch Attack of the Clones before seeing that mess again.

Got a bit of a soft spot for that film. Not a big Michael Douglas fan but he was great in the role. Did quite well when shown in '93 & I remember a few people commenting on how good it was as they left the cinema which did not happen very often.

I'm the bad guy?

Babu Frik is about the only positive thing about this film. Everything else catastrophe.

I enjoyed rise of Skywalker a lot more than last jedi. If you switch your brain off, rise of Skywalker is an entertaining movie. The last jedi was just irredeemable.

found an off chance to see the KUBRICK classic "A CLOCKWORK ORANGE" for the first time.

while i do get the general sociopolitical message it tries to convey loud and clear enough, on the main,
the film largely seems like an attempt to couch some midcore p0rn within an ostensible high-minded context...

I watched a clockwork orange when I was probably too young to watch it. I remembered it being different than any other film I'd seen but ultimately didn't like it. Watched it years later and it's one of my favourite films. Theres so much to it. The camerawork, editing, music. It feels like a one off. I cant think of any other film that's comparable.

Sorry tasuke but can't agree on that point.
