I would like to own Blast from the Past on laserdisc & have never seen a cover picture from it. One time a seller on ebay had one i was watching but he ended it early i asked him about it & he said someone offered him $125.00 for it so he took it. I recently found a Charles Bronson Breakout that came up as a buy it now for $9.99 it played pretty good for a 1985 pressing.

I would really like to get my hands on The Crimson Rivers PILF-2868 and Stigmata PILF-2857
sooner or later I'll find these....I'm sure

It happens I have Blast from the Past. Never searched for it. Got in mint sealed in a collection I bought some time ago....
Numberous people tried to take it off my hands. I refused
It's "rare" so I'm not planning on dumping it for a few bucks.

Sooner or later they all come along you know....

The only 2 PILF-2869 registered in LDDB collection are both in Switzerland.

$ugu$ has one complete with obi.
Mine has no obi.

But I'm still glad I could find one

With or without the obi I would buy it. I've learned to be patient over the years. Since I buy whole collections going from 20 to 700 titles (when I get the offer that is) I'm sure it will turn up sooner or later. Individually I would think about 100-350 USD but no way I'm going any higher than that. Let's be honnest, they are not worth even 75USD these days. it's a laserdisc not a car.
A friend of mine collects Vespa scooters so we go the the Mostra Scambio fair in Imola Italy every year. Prices for a very rare 1960's vespa are touching the sky but once in a while we come back with scooters that even didn't make it to the actual Imola circuit. we buy them right out of the truck before they make it to the fair.
This way we got a "rare Vespa 90SS " scooter at a fraction of the price they usually go... If a seller doesn't have a clue of what he owns you can really make bargain deals. Be patient is my advice.
6000USD for a laserdisc? I may be stupid but I ain't crazy.

Yeah, I certainly didn't had to pay $6000 to get my copy.

For a long time I wanted the music related films Shock 'Em Dead, Rockula and Black Roses on laserdisc - really pleased I got all 3 last year very cheaply.

I was also searching for Stigmata and may have snapped up the last sensibly priced copy on LDDB (2012-06-04) before 4 figure prices started to appear!!
Blast from the past was also on my wishlist and luckily I managed to pickup that one as well in the UK.

I've still 1000+ LDs on my wishlist - most of which are insanely rare music titles I've never seen.

I want the US release of End Of Days since it was the last Universal title released on LaserDisc. But, I'm not willing to pay the insane sums asked for it by many dealers and individuals. To me, it's worth $40 max. I realize that less than 400 copies were pressed, but it's just an LD with a terrible movie on it. I dearly love the LD format and always have but I've never believed that titles were worth the insane sums that many ask for certain titles - especially because, in the vast majority of cases, there are superior versions available on DVD or BD for $20 bucks or so.

There is one that seems to never come up for sale.
Lethal weapon directors' cut.... PILF-2746

I've always had a softspot for these LW movies. It's some sort of chemistry that makes Gibson and Glover work I guess
never came across the LW AC-3boxset on ebay... maybe I missed it :?:
I would really like that one. Own the Director's cut dvd's :shh: (it's no excuse I know)

hmmm, good question. Well, since I just renewed interest, I'd have to say Dangaioh (even the DVD is expensive)

Well I recently got a few I was long looking for, but I'm still looking for "Mind Source Canyonlands" As I have the other 3 from the set.

And from the Spiritual Earth set I still need "Earth - Astronaut's Eyes" and also "Mt. Fuji"

I had to pay $300 for that one, not even in mint condition. And that was a while ago.
While some of the "rare?" PILF-28 titles are becoming more common and affordable (see what kevin kobos as for sale on ebay),
I do not think we will find an End Of Days LD under $250 in the next years.

This one is really a nice set, AC-3 Director's cut on LD !
I bought mine $115 in 2010, and one was available at Recobanchou last week. But it's gone now.

Not even a rare one (but can't find it in England), Ridley Scott's GI Jane. Love his commentaries. That and it's a guilty pleasure.

A freind of mine acquired one from a recent haul, but the jacket had extreme water damage... I think he just threw it out :(

Mostly those crappy movies from Fred Olen Ray like Dinosaur Island and Over the Wire. They pop up from time to time, but not at prices I'd ever consider.
