I'd like to confirm a LD submit I received some time ago for a T2 Spec Edition 1993 vs 1997 release.

I know it's a Super35 movie and P&S/LBX are not the perfect way to describe the framing, but let's keep things simple.

All the USA releases on LD

So we have initial releases for Xmas 1991:

Terminator 2: Judgment Day (1991) [LD 48864-4WS] (Boxset, CAV, LBX)
Terminator 2: Judgment Day (1991) [LD68952-2] (P&S)
Terminator 2: Judgment Day (1991) [LD 68952-2WS] (LBX)

Then end of 1993 comes the Special Edition:

Terminator 2: Judgment Day: Special Edition (1991) [82997-2] (P&S)
Terminator 2: Judgment Day: Special Edition (1991) (Uncut) [PSE82997-6WS] (Boxset, CAV, LBX)

Was there a LBX release as well in 1993? (82997-2WS)

Because I also have 1997 but the date might be wrong Terminator 2: Judgment Day: Special Edition (1991) (Uncut) [82997-2WS] (LBX)

And finally the AC3 remaster in 1998: Terminator 2: Judgment Day (1991) [LD68952-2DD]

For LBX 1993 vs 1997, I do see 2 set of mint markings but it was a popular release, they must have used at least 2 manufacturing sites:

I think you may be right! I just double checked my copy and it has 1993 written on the back cover three times. It also says 1993 on the disc.

All right, I'll update the LBX release to 1993 as well!

It's funny because I bought this copy above all other copies of T2 specifically because I thought it was a late release.
