I just bought the original full screen Grease on laserdisc & it sounded great & i have the anniversary widescreen one of course. The dvd sounds like a hollow ehco & everytime i see the full screen one on tv i cringe when the songs come on. Does anyone but me see how the remastering ruined it?

I believe the movie was remixed in 1997 and even had a limited theatrical showing. All editions of the movie released since (LD..DVD...BD) all use the 97 remix. I heard Paramount did this without the director's(Randal Kleiser) approval.
