Post subject:  Nightmare on Elm Street vs Nightmare on Elm Street

Hi I would be grateful if any would anyone could offer their opinion as to the relative picture and sound quality of the two releases of "Nightmare on Elm Street" from 1996
Nightmare on Elm Street, A (1984) [EE3734] and Nightmare on Elm Street, A: Special Edition (1984) [EE3733]. Both claim to have a new transfer supervised by director of photography Jacques Haitkin. I understand one release is THX approved. But with only a few months between releases could they be that different ?

According to the listing the SE disk has witch I don't believe the regular copy has

New THX approved transfer
30 Minutes of deleted scenes
Original script, extensive still photo archive and never seen footage
Collectables, Wes Craven biography
Audio commentary with Wes Craven and stars Heather Langenkamp and John Saxon

seems the SE also uses remaster digital audio and picture
