Anyway long story short, I see the LD of Hard Boiled is going for some pretty high prices where the Killer isn't. What did I miss???? I know there are issues with PQ on a lot of these HK films where they push them out fast etc but the CAV Killer is selling on ebay for around 10-15 and up where Hard Boiled is selling for 30-50 and up  I don't own HB on LD nor do I plan to, I was just searching and wanted to know. Sort of like my other post about Watch Out We're Mad. |

My guess would be that the market is small enough (i.e. there are enough uninformed participants (I'm not excluding myself from this label)) that selling-price differences are just statistical noise signifying little. |

The Criterion DVD of Hard Boiled seems to be quite expensive too. Perhaps it is OOP and with no better version available (a crap Blu doesn't count, same as The Killer) thus the price is so high? |

Yeah, just seemed odd that the Killer CAV was selling so cheap and Hard Boiled was at least double. I wanted to get a DVD of it and I picked up a disc and the wrong disc was in the case, it was supposed to be a me ah but it was another that had the dub only so that's how my search started and I discovered this weird thing. Could be due to wanting to own all Criterion discs for some but its very odd Another note, I hadn't seen HB in years, saw City War last year and its almost like a John Woo version of City War???? |
