Ro-Disc in the Netherlands had high quality 8" protection sleeves made especially for the 8" LaserDiscs. I still have some left. Brand new and unused if anyone is interested.
They are clear, glossy and tight fit as per photo.
Cheers!

I used comic magazine sleeves, the width is the same.

I located a big lot of these LaserJuke still brand new.
I haven't had the chance to look through all of them but they are hundreds.
Is there anybody interested in these titles?
Trades are welcome of course

(I'm a collector of video clips)

At this moment I'm transferring 12" discs that came out of a Pioneer LD changer stationed at "The Box - Music television" From USA and UK.
All discs are NTSC with analogue sound... Most of the discs are mid to end 90's. 1 discs is loaded with promo's for the Box.

Just got my first batch of Laser Juke discs and I’m hooked! I’d love to acquire more if anyone is interested in selling any.

They seem quite thin on the ground at the moment, even on eBay (there are a few on ".es", ".de" and ".fr" eBays, but they won't always send abroad) and six or so on the 'shop' here.

I have a few, not thinking of selling at the moment, but it's a good opportunity to mention that, if anyone has either of the discs with songs by the British band All About Eve (don't know the ref. no.s) I'd be happy to swap two juke discs for each one of those!

And if anyone's interested in my struggles with the Laser Jukebox itself, click here

There is a German guy who has built a catalogue of these discs (still incomplete) with the track titles - I've often meant to reconcile it against the database here, but never get around to it...

Thanks for the tip! I actually found a couple discs I was after on one of the regional eBay sites.

Wow nice work on your restoration project. Coming across one of these in the US would be a dream.

I did some digging in the Facebook group and came across that guy’s Google Doc. It looks like he put a ton of work into that list. I want to ask permission to use his data before doing any bulk updates on the database but I can’t get ahold of him.

I was interested to know if there were LaserJuke discs after June 2002 (the last date I own) - at that time distributed by Diamond Time Limited.

Found this : https://find-and-update.company-information.service.gov.uk/company/01638778/filing-history?page=2
It shows the last real tax report was filed in July 2002 (closing date June 30th 2002), after which the company went into "sleeping mode" and eventually dissolved in January 2019.

Interesting to see the revenue - UKP @June30th (1999 : UK 1,3M; Europe 822k; Aust/FE 329k - 2,4M total - 2000 1,0M total - 2001 890k total - 2002 910k total)

Diamond time did much more than only LaserJuke, also PAL 30cm discs and CD's

In Australia distribution for LaserJuke was done directly by Pioneer Electronics Australia Pty Ltd.

Other interesting one: https://trademarks.ipo.gov.uk/ipo-tmcase/page/Results/1/UK00001418894 : filed by Pioneer in 1990 - officially expired March 27th 2007

Hello, I don't speak English, only French, but I'm using a translator. I see you found a list of LJs somewhere, and I'd like to know where I can find it.

I'm also trying to understand the disc numbering, but it's still not very clear... If you have any information, thank you very much in advance.

Best regards, Patrick

Are there more people who know more of these discs or have a big database? (in the LDDB there is only a small number of these 8" discs listed)

Has someone cracked the code of these discs? (reference number of each disc is XX.XX.XX)
(I know the first digits is the slot of player, and the last digits is the month of release,
I assume the middle 2 digits are a sequence number for the slot position).
Eg 13.51.06 is a Diamond Time disc released in June 2002, to be put in position 3 and 12.75.05 is a Diamond Time disc released in May 2002 to be put in position 2
(Discs have references from 10.XX.XX => slot position 0 to 19.XX.XX => slot position 9, see an example in picture below)

Hello, I don't speak English, only French, but I'm using a translator.

I received about thirty LaserJuke discs today and I noticed that half of them aren't in the LDDB database. They're mostly Italian LJs.

I still don't understand the numbering system for these LJs. But I noticed a few things while looking at the list on LDDB, sorting by country:

Under United Kingdom, there are LJs where the last two digits are in the 90s, so it can't be the month, but maybe they're not UK discs?

The Australian discs seem to be numbered by year:
The first two digits: ??

The two middle digits: possibly the month.

The last two digits: seem to indicate the year, as they correspond to the year listed in the database.

I've also looked around online, and it seems that Pioneer's Jaserjuke players were designed for 12 LJs. So it's difficult to be sure that the first two digits are the slot in the device. For example, an LJ from the database: 23.05.04.

I'd really like to understand the number, but it's not easy at all! Do you have any further information?

Best regards,
Patrick

I don't think the numbers have anything to do with the slots in LJ players. Mine has 15 slots for music discs (and 5 more for promotional ones) and other LJ designs may vary. But it would be up to the Jukebox owner to put the discs in whatever slots they like, as long as they put the plastic track listings in the right place on the front of the player.

I'm using a translator... sorry for the mistakes... hello again and thank you for the link, I'll try to contact him! I seem to recall reading somewhere that there was space for 15 Laser Jukes. Regarding the titles, before doing anything silly, I'm waiting to receive an NTSC player; mine only reads PAL. Some Laser Jukes have the small transparent sheet for the titles, but I'm not sure if it's the correct sheet for the specific Laser Juke. Some Laser Jukes don't have any sheets, and others have two... pffff... I'm not going to add them to the database without checking them. Furthermore, I'm waiting for our valiant administrator to validate the France-Disques laser discs I've already submitted before making the corrections! But I promise, as soon as I can confirm the Laser Jukes I have (35), I'll add the ones that aren't in the database.

The transparent sheets should have the code number (eg 11.46.08) of the disc, in tiny letters somewhere on them... Yes it will be great to see them added to the database :)

I did collect those a few decades ago. The numbers I used to put into my database were the mint marks starting with 01-.
The oldest of them starts with 01-002 and is from 1987.
Diamond Time started again with 01-001 so I just put 01-DT-xxx into my database
these mint marks are ascending, the low ones are the oldest.
they were all used in all LaserJuke countries other than Japan which used other mint marks on their discs.

from the mint markings on the disc, yes, it looks like the first ones were from '87

my first disc 01-002 has clips only from '87 AND no LaserJuke logos, just the artist and song titles

The Title On The Label for the 01-002 is Pioneer LaserJuke 14-05-02
