Was wondering if the lower-priced, different cat # of music titles are automatically identical.

Since I had 2 copies of Kim Wild video compilations, I gave a try to digital audio capture:

1987 - Kim Wilde: You Keep Me Hangin' On (1987) [07WL-55140]

1989 - Kim Wilde: You Keep Me Hangin' On (1987) [35P6-9018]

In this case, the masters are indeed identical -- the tiny differences must come from me trimming the silences at the beginning, end and between tracks:

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Statistics for: 1987 . Kim Wilde - You Keep Me Hangin' On [1989 - 35P6-9018]
Number of samples: 77857716

I have copy of Madonna: The Virgin Tour Live (1985) [07JL-38105]
and Madonna: The Virgin Tour Live (1985) [WPLR-54]

I was also intrigued as 1985 vs 1997 is a big timespan, but to my surprise they are exactly the same.
The intro logo's are the same even though since 1985 the company logo's changed, so Pioneer used the same master for the 1997 release as the 1985 release.

I didn't check it at the level you did, I only did visual check.

Regards,
Edwin
