Was wondering if the lower-priced, different cat # of music titles are automatically identical.
Since I had 2 copies of Kim Wild video compilations, I gave a try to digital audio capture:
1987 -

In this case, the masters are indeed identical -- the tiny differences must come from me trimming the silences at the beginning, end and between tracks:
