I HATE Live Concert LDs. Here are some of my favorites:

This one is a natural:

Hawkwind: Live (1990) [ID8663CA]

Another natural. Lemmy was in Hawkwind, until he got Fired in Canada.

Motorhead: The Birthday Party (1990) [ID7923EN]

Bootleg and Promo footage. Love that type of stuff, and great music too.

Metallica: The $24.98 Laser Video Disc: Cliff 'Em All (1987) [40106-6]

Bought a used copy at Rockaway Mall, New Jersey. Video Concepts, Febuary 8th 1986. Did not play it for about 8 years...

April Wine: Live in London (1981) [PA-82-025]

Plus the 2 Sex Pistols LDs, Texas and California...

RR has footage of the Sex Pistols with Glen Matlock. Some of the footage was used in this:

The Great Rock and Roll Swindle

Rock Revolution (1984) [TE-D090]

CBGB's Blitzkrieg Bop [COLY-3186]

CBGBsBB is a color kinescope...

The Great Rock and Roll Swindle

There's a great review at IMDb dot com about the above. Explains how it was not a swindle, but business as usual...

The Blue Hearts: Live! (1987) [MLV-1]

Possibly these?

Jun Togawa & Yapoos: Tour Live '85~'86 [ALLA-48]

Yapoos: Yapoos Keikaku Live and Clip [TELN-38011]

I'd like someday to get Symphonic Suite Yamato Laserdisc, as well as Symphonic Dragon Quest, and The Neon Genesis Evangelion Symphony and the Tenchi Muyo concert. I do have the Bubblegum Crisis music laserdisc with the singer actress of Priss performing the series music.

Early Digital Audio disc? Anyone - what was the first disc with Digital Audio again?

In the USA, it was The Cotton Club, I am pretty sure.

At first, digital sound discs were limited to 55 minutes per side if I remember right.

The Cotton Club disc was released in 1985. That Genesis tour was in 1983-84, but the Laser Discs were later (there are two versions; one says from 1991 in the database).

Earliest I could find in Japan was: King Crimson: Three of a Perfect Pair - Live in Japan (1984) [MP178-25PI]

For USA, I'm not sure, early Digital Audio remasters show up for: Sound of Music, The (1965) [1051-80]

Oh thanks, yeah its a Digital Audio version (still mono?) of the orginal '84 release which is interesting.

So, what's on this Globe LD you have? Is it live stuff? What domes are involved? How's the AQ? Thanks.

Globe: @4_domes [AVLG-72005] is a live concert in Tokyo Dome (indoor).

Globe: Tour 1998 Love Again [AVLG-72007] is a live concert in Yokohama (outdoor).

Both good fun to watch.

yeah need these. Globe "globe" and Faces Places was on high rotation on my MD walkman circa '98. We had a Japan Club at uni and I dubbed JCDs from Japanese students and my housemate. I would also go up to the Conbinis in Sydney at the time and rent discs to dub. I even had the official Sony TOSLINK cable to run from my discman for "perfect" copies. It's how I got into the whole Komuro family..
