The shoegazing scene was not too prolific as far as laserdisc was concerned however there are a few titles worthy of noting by Ride including a spaced out video compilation and live concert at Brixton Academy neither of which appear to be available on DVD. Britpop emerged shortly afterwards and the most succesful bands from this genre such as Oasis, Blur, Suede and Pulp all got releases on laserdisc: I wonder what Liam Gallagher would do if you asked him to sign an Oasis laserdisc or better still a Blur one ?

Yes I suppose Jesus and Mary Chain do qualify as an early shoegazing band. I've got that one as well:

Not too sure about those other ones you mentioned however I've just thought of another myself: Starstreet Visions - Ghetto. This featured a number of british alternative rock bands such as Lightning Seeds, Shack, Distant Cousins etc signed to the independent label Ghetto Records. Here are the tracks featured: I only managed to acquire this recently myself.

The one Shoegaze band that never got any full release and I enjoy the most, Lush, have all their vids, did a little remastering myself. As far as Ride or Suede, have many of their vids but they never do anything for me. Pulp and Oasis have some very nice releases on DVD. Blur also on DVD but sound has something to desire, only like a couple of their songs. Jesus and Mary Chain, awesome, the DVD releases on the two sided CD/DVD were better than the laserdisc which I also have for the 4 to 5 vids not released on DVD. You can tell that these vids were shot poorly and probably the reason for the exclusion to DVD. Also the DVD's have a couple vids not on the LD. That Starstreet Visions, nice find. Didn't know (as I am sure there are many others) that compilation existed. Elvis
