I currently have aha hunting high and low and aha live in south America 1991 on LaserDisc. I really want the last disc to complete my collection, aha headlines and deadlines, but of the people who are selling this disc, the bulk of them say that this disc is in the PAL format. Was this particular disc released for NTSC? I can get the VHS PAL if I wanted to, but I really want this on LaserDisc.

Well, you must not have looked to hard, because the Japan LD (NTSC) is available on this site.

That's what I love about this site, the wealth of information concerning available titles on LD.

Believe it or not, I found it right after I posted this. I guess I just didn't look for the PAL and NTSC logos when I first searched for this.

No problem, have done it myself. I love those Japan print LD's, the colors (especially the Blacks) are outstanding.
But the PAL DVD (the original solo) was also outstanding with PCM sound, thus (for myself) no need for the LD, since I am a content only collector.
