I just received Puccini: La Bohème: Karajan (1967) [072 105-1] but when I play the disc I have on side 1 Beethoven's fifth and on side 2 Beethoven's sixth ! All is correct for the Puccini La Bohème, but there's no Karajan but L. Bernstein ....

Wondering if some of you have experienced the same

Well, yes thats it ! Is that a common thing to mislabel LDs ?

It seems to happen occasionally. There was another thread by someone who had a mislabeled movie disc. Naturally the confusion occurs between things that were on the same production line at the same time. I imagine a platter got picked out for quality check, & put back down in the wrong stack, or maybe the paper labels got mixed up.

Thanks for the explanation, that could be it. In another part of my collection I now found the correct LDs. Label cover and content correspond....
