These are the main set of Whitesnake laserdiscs available worldwide (both PAL, NTSC and first/second editions etc).



For a long time none of these were available on DVD.
The Whitesnake Super Rock 84 LD was eventually released on DVD in 2007.
I bought the DVD and it omits the interview footage included at different segments on the original LD.

The videos from Trilogy LD were also issued with the deluxe CD/DVD edition of Whitesnake 1987 but again omitted the additional candid footage on the LD.

Adrian Vandenberg was one of the key guitarists in Whitesnake for a significant period of time and of course Steve Vai also worked with Coverdale.
Steve Vai who was trained by Joe Satriani also played in the G3 live concert so these might be of interest as related titles to track down:


There are quite a few other music LDs that feature Vai, Coverdale/Whitesnake to search for. These mainly tend to be promo music LDs but they help plug the gaps for some other music videos not covered by the discs above.

The Japanese re-issue of the Whitesnake Commando's laserdisc removed the reference to laservision on the front even though the disc still only featured analog audio.
That was odd as it was a much later release when nearly all NTSC discs were being issued with both analog and digital soundtracks yet it still only featured the original analog.

Be wary of buying the first edition of the Commando's laserdisc as it is quite prone to rot. I've encountered a number of totally rotted copies in circulation although decent copies do exist.
