Post subject:  Eat to the Beat, Blondie has 4 less songs than the CED.
I just got my Japanese LD copy of Eat to the Beat, Blondie (MP028-22MP). Since I have the CED with the same title, I decided to compare the two. I found that the LD has 6 songs on side 1 and 6 songs on side 2. The CED has 12 songs on side 1 which have the same titles as both LD sides 1 and 2 added together. The CED has a side 2 and that side has 4 more songs: Heart of Glass, Picture This, Presence Dear, and Hanging on the Telephone.

I have always considered the LD to be superior to the CED. This is one time that the CED beats the LD for the number of songs recorded.

Don't hesitate to update the CED release information then!

Blondie: Eat to the Beat (1979) [RCA02025]

Japanese release (both analog and digital) only carry the same 12 tracks of the full related album (making it a video album):

Blondie: Eat to the Beat (1979) [MP028-22MP]
Blondie: Eat to the Beat (1979) [VALP-3148]

Wikipedia acknowledges that one video format got 4 extra tracks.

I am not sure what I can update for the CED. I cannot seem to find a place to add titles to the CED release information. Help!

When logged in, can't you see the Image button?

I went to the web page for the CED and I did see the UPDATE button. I clicked on it and got the additional info page. I added the 4 songs into the Misc Information box. I then clicked on the Submit This Update. I then closed out the web page and reopened it and the 4 songs were not there. I do not know what I may have done wrong. Double help.

Must be validated first but it would have been nice to provide the complete track listing and add a note that the 4 last ones are CED only.

Sorry, I did not know that there was a validation process involved before an entry was allowed. I shall self-flagellate for 2 hours for that mistake (lol).

Eat to the Beat was done as its own "video album" with opening and closing credits. The extra tracks on the CED are separate from that. (Aside from the Japanese laserdisc, the main album was also released in the US on VHS and Beta by Warner Home Video.)
