This is about:

The Beatles: Concert at Budokan (1966) [VPLR-70236]

There seems to be 2 versions because I could find online pics of both still in shrink-wrap:

Same price, same reference, same obi.

The "white" pic is a bit blurry. Is that the apple logo down the bottom right?

A full set seems to have both a white cover and... a black outer cover?

That last pic looks like this is like a box set with sleeve cover for LD and a book (or leaflet?). Outer box wouldn't be that thick though as it has one disc in sleeve and the book.

As for the white one with obi and wrap, idk...maybe someone only had that (missing outer black cover and book/leaflet) and then slipped it into spare outer wrap? It's definitely doable as I've reused Japanese outer wrap myself (swapped from one release to another).
Another possibility (but I have no knowledge if this would actually happen) is that the white wrap one is a later version which has reduced packaging to reduce cost, but the title ID & obi didn't change.

I've seen both and have never figured it out.

The set I own is the white sleeve disc.

My speculation is that they were going to release the white suit performance in the white sleeve and black suit performance in the black set but
wern't able to at the last minute?
