Could anyone here possibly know more about these labels?

The HolySound and Dynasty karaoke labels, to be more exact. I'm wondering because I swear there is a lot more material available on YouTube than what is on LDDB.

UPDATE: Somebody just added this to the database: https://www.lddb.com/laserdisc/submit/5 ... Patti-Page BTW, I did grow up with Dynasty English Video Karaoke, but through VCD's. Also, I know that HolySound had more than three Super Hits LaserDiscs thanks to AsianPandaGoneWild's karaoke playlist. Here is my proof: https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=1hHloKdy5SM https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=dYtRVb4lPCc https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=vofEkLKQgmA https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=Kouihht5Nis

Image Wow, somebody just posted this. This made a bunch of memories burst. I had a karaoke VCD that was pretty much side A of this LaserDisc. (BTW, I remember the vid for You Are Not Alone. It scared me as a kid. It was of some creepy-looking man in a swimming pool.)

https://www.m-s-v.eu/en/search?sSearch=super%2Bhits&p=1 OMG, here's a bunch of Super Hits VCDs and DVDs. (Also, I didn't know that Gull actually made it to the DVD era.)

I'm sure there is but the level of interest for such release is globally next to 0.
Very little traction to spend the time adding the missing titles.

Same for Japanese Karaoke releases, we are probably missing hundreds -- if not thousands -- of them...
But nobody really cares!

Probably because they're not a lot of use unless you actually know the language.

There's loads of Finnish Karaoke discs too, but I'm guessing the reason there aren't any on LDDB is because the people who do collect them probably aren't interested in anything else (and probably don't even speak english), so they don't join the website, and since they only collect Karaoke titles, they'll also settle for PAL only players which only seem to be in demand with European Karaoke collectors since they're cheap and play both analog and digital PAL titles but are in low demand with people who collect the movies and want the dual standard capability.

It's like a completely separate subsection of the LD collecting community with very little overlap.

BTW, is anyone else here obsessed with watching karaoke videos to pick them apart? For me, my enjoyment of them is partially ironic and partially unironic. And nostalgic too, as someone who grew up watching them.

The thing I enjoy with the Karaoke discs I've had in the past are the old street scenes that are no longer.
Interesting for me when I found some discs that had NYC footage from the late 80s early 90s and I grew up in some of those areas.

Same, I like the unintentional time capsule thing, but I'd probably go for one of those Japanese BGV discs for that.

(It's also why I want that Twin Peaks Visual Soundtrack disc)

Personally, I grew up mostly with Gold Coast/Brisbane footage originally shot for the Taiwanese market and then often reused for Filipino karaoke VCDs. (To a lesser extent, I grew up with New Zealand and Vancouver footage too. OK, said VCDs used Kiwi footage almost as much as SE Queensland footage, but not really that much of British Columbia footage, normally just one vid of it per disc.) LOL I can't believe that when I was like 4, I thought that karaoke vids were big-scale Hollywood productions, because they were often so cheesy.
