DVDO might a bit better in 480i de-interlacing for already digital sources(DVD,digital cable etc..) but thats the only point I would give to DVDO. Everything else Crystalio outshines it. Gennum chip is pretty close to Faroudja for analog 480i de-interlacing. I am still tweaking its comb filter. Can one of you Crystalio owner give me your settings for LDs? Sorry to bump an old thread, but do you have any capture pics to show the Crystalio II (I assume vps3300) processing the Snell & Wilcox 2 (floating orb) test pattern? TIA! TLK

I have the disc, and the crystalio 3800... if people are still interested, i can try to do this with a digital camera picture, it will be a bit cropped though, as I have the settings designed to fit a widescreen laserdisc correctly on a ws tv.. Let me know if you guys are still interested...
The crystalio actually gets that austin powers disc looking great by the way, even the scene where he jumps in the air, and his shirt is usually a total mess with flicker and noise, and with proper tweeking no screen door noise when the run by the phone booth!! Crystalio still the king for laserdisc!
