There is a brand new, never used, still in the original carton elite 97 available on the Chicago Craig's list. It's a beauty, and he's asking over $3000 for it (!!) |

Does NR mean "Noise reduction" ? Sorry for the question, what kind of mod is this ? |

Yup, NR=noise reducition, aka DNR=digital noise reduction. It is default ON when the CLD-97 plays a disk. Duncan (ldservice) made a mod to turn it to auto OFF. |

I received the 97 from Duncan last week and couldn't be happier. It plays great and all the mods work as expected. The cosmetic condion is better than I expected as well. It was an absolute pleasure dealing with Duncan. What a GREAT guy. |
