I've scanned and made a PDF of various technical LaserDisc player reviews from The Perfect Vision... Players reviewed are the CLD-97, LD-S2, The Runco LJR I, the Panasonic LX-900, the CLD-95, and many lower cost players... Thanks! Magazine scans like this are a great service. I have to say though that this "issuu" site is a pretty naff was to host .pdfs. Clumsy interface, won't work with iOS, no way to just download a copy without setting up some kind of account...whatever happened to Geocities?

And you can download just by clicking the download button on the first screen that shows the "click to read" image. It's the last button on the right under the image... A box with an arrow - I think it's supposed to look like a desktop outbox. That will even open it in IOS - I know because I've checked it on my iPad. But you have to use the download link to read it in IOS. That will open it in Safari and then you can move it to IBooks or Acrobat, etc. I made a PDF of the original review TPV did for the Elite CLD-95 that I'll post later today. If you browse my posted files there, there is also an AES article about LaserDisc and how it's encoded, especially the FM audio and CX noise reduction, plus a brochure for the LaserDisc system from 1976. |

Is it possible that you see this button because you have an account? When I click on the link above in OSX I get this:  When I go there on my phone I get a normal looking web page, I now see the arrow you were talking about, but when you click on it: So...I'm pretty sure you need an account. |
