My players have a rest of months between uses i just noticed that my mint DVL-919 has a bit of a squeek when opening the tray is it anything to worry myself about? |

i don't own one of these players but it should be fine. i think if you can track it down it may be a belt that will break back in or you need to oil a gear? others i'm sure will know, but as long as it's not grinding i wouldn't worry. |

my cld-925 was making a few squeaky noises when starting up and also when the tray was opened and closed, after some advise here I went out and bought a tube of silicone grease and lubed all the gears and cogs lightly Sounds as good as new now |

Agree, it is really just annoying but the silicone grease normally fixes it if it bothers you |

Thank You for the advice. With all the UPS horror stories i would hate to send it cross country for a repair. |

With all the UPS horror stories i would hate to send it cross country for a repair. i don't think sending it for repairs would do damage. my last piece i sent with 8x10 printouts on the box saying HEAVY and DO NOT DROP. i think that now we just have to go overboard to protect our packages. |

Hey The last one I sent had just about 8 inches of foam all around, and was packed tight in between it all with no room for movement. Everything was bolted down and regardless, if it was dropped it would damage the unit, and it was dropped. The unit was destroyed. It doesnt matter how well you pack, or protect, like the big block letters on front saying fragile, handle with care and dont drop. Well, it wasnt and it went boom. |
