I have really wanting this player, not so much for the player it self but for the looks, easy one of the coolest players avaible. But how can they bid 300+ for a player were the seller states:
"
TTENTION: this unit was sitting in warehouse for ten years, WHAT YOU SEE IS WHAT YOU GET!
This is a no reserve auction, no return accepted.
Buyer assume all risks upon buying, Seller does not guarantee functionality of this auction item, ask questions before you buy and BUY AT YOUR OWN RISK.
"

For me its certain that this unit dont work and you wont know whats wrong with is, and it could cost more then you paid for the player to have it fixed.

I was tempted too, but the sellers description clearly implies that they know it's non functional - and who knows how much it could cost for Duncan or Kurtis to repair - plus the shipping costs both ways for repair.

Agreed. It does not work and at 200 shipping I wouldn't touch it. We have one that works in palm springs for 800.

When I've had these they've sold for $1200.00 (fully serviced and warranted). On the 7020 (or CLD-97) it's usually about $175.00 to $200.00 to do general services on one.
