I was looking through the Portland craigslist and found this guy with an LDP 440. I have never heard anything about them. Can anyone shed some light? He also has a laserdisc recorder for sale. Check it out. http://portland.craigslist.org/mlt/ele/3229158089.html Im pretty sure i bouht my LD V8000 off him for 20$ but it was in a wharehouse with tons of other old electronics which looks like hes finally ready to sell. Some really cool stuff in there. |

The LD-V4400 appears to be basically a sort of junior V8000. |

But if you look at the top of the post, he lists: Quote: Pioneer laserdisc player ld-v4400 (5) while down below appearsPioneer laserdisc player Ld-v8000 (7) Pioneer laserdisc player CLd-2800 (5) Quote: Laser disc players: Pioneer LD-8000 Laserdisc Player Pioneer CD CDV LD CLDV2600 laserdisc player Pioneer LDP 440 laserdisc player So I think it's just a blunder. Besides which, "LDP" is not a prefix for Pioneer model numbers. Both Sony & Philips used it, but I don't find either. Sony did make an MDP-440, & Philips had an LDP-400. |
