Post subject:  Advice On Selling A Pioneer LD-S9

I'm thinking of selling my backup player - a Pioneer LD-S9.

What is the current "going price" for this unit (it is mint condition with original box, remote and voltage converter).

Wondering what a reasonable starting bid price would be, and a reasonable "Buy It Now" price.

Thanks in advance for your help.

Looking around I came across this so you might be looking at $1300.00 for it. Good luck. :) and welcome.

Around may there was one on ebay. Seller was located in japan so the shipping was $200+. It was buy it now for $700. It sold within a week. You should be able to get $900+ ship for fast sale. You can ask as high as $1200+ship but may not as quick.
If its a 1999+ model year player with new logo,it may be worth more.

the going price will be what someone will pay for it :D

only you can decide on what a resonable starting bid and buy it now price will be.
due to what you originally paid for it.

I've been wondering about this my self, but i have modified my s9 to be in the case of a cld-79, cause it looks a hell of a lot better, but not sure if that's a good or a bad thing when it comes to selling it.

Sorry, I'm new here, so perhaps this is a dumb question:

Is there a place to list it for sale here?

Are we allowed to post For Sale items on this forum? (or is it against rules?)

Or do I post it to eBay, and just let people here know about it?

I want to do what's proper or typical for the forum.

Thanks!

a sale/trade thread has been requested earlier, but if you want to get most for your money, i would suggest adding it on ebay and making a thread here with the link to your ebay listing (and I don't think its against the rules to post threads with sales -- just not sure where it would fit the best, either here or in the general laserdisc-sub forum). =)

OK, thank you for the advice. I may shy away from eBay, as I'm not happy with them ever since they instituted their "wait 21 days for payment" policy.

So I will post a message in the general section, as you say.

I think I'm going to ask $1,099 plus actual shipping, PayPal preferred.

You can PM me here, or e-mail me directly at disccollector aatt disccollector.com (replace "aatt" with @) if interested.

Thanks everyone!
