Yes, they just added some wood and painted over the Panasonic markings. At least with the Runco players MSB made them look like something substantial. Even EAD's mod of the CLD-99 makes it look like a true high end player and not a home, do it yourself, mod job. The LX-600 based LS-1 from MSB is a beautiful work of art. Too bad they didn't use the 900 as the base player.

HI all, I am a large buyer of laserdiscs and players, I purchased the laserdisc player from ricardo tomas msb lsi platinum, as per previous reports on this site the following occurred,
goods did not arrive
was charged an extra 122 gbpounds after I purchased player for postage
tracking number invalid and post office was blamed
he stated total postage was 340 gbpounds to post economy
many excuses, no answers to questions
ebay refunded monies except for 122 gbpounds as done after he was paid for player and amount quoted on site for postage
he then guaranteed he would pay by the 10th february 2013 the 122 gbpounds
this did not occur

magic_80s is now selling the unit msb ls1 for 800 gbpounds on ebay. this is the same unit that I paid 450 gbpounds for that did not arrive in the mail, that magic_80s did not refund monies for. his tracking number was invalid etc

yes, and at nearly double the price, wonder if there is something wrong with it. he never refunded me, even though he guaranteed it. his guarantee is worthless. he told me to wait and not leave bad or negative feedback. the time to leave feedback then passed and he did not honor his guarantee. that is why his feedback on ebay is at 100 percent because he has deceived me and other people.
the item he sold to reinbo was faulty

He also lies about it, claiming its the equivalent of a Runco when it's based on Panasonic's LX-600 with no digital FX or noise reduction.
